Northern Lights JV has awarded the consortium of Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” LINE) and Malaysia’s MISC Berhad (MISC) a time charter contract for one newly built 12,000 m3 liquefied CO2 carrier.

The award follows the announcement of Northern Lights’ fleet expansion on 29 January 2026, where Northern Lights announced time charter agreements for four more CO₂ ships. Today’s award is for the second vessel to the “K” LINE and MISC consortium.

The vessel will be constructed by Dalian Shipbuilding Offshore Co., Ltd.
