Request for visit to the Northern Lights CO2 receiving facility

The Northern Lights onshore facility is in Øygarden, approximately a one-hour drive from Bergen, West Norway. We have a visitor center where we can accommodate visitor groups depending on availability and operations. Visitors will be offered a general introduction to CCS and Northern Lights activities.

Northern Lights are now fully operational, and on-site guided tours can only be offered if on-site conditions on the day of the visit operations allow for it (safety is our key concern). Please understand that it is not always possible to plan in advance, hence cancellation, delays and/or postponements of visits could occur. Please note it is not possible to accommodate on-site guided tours for large groups in the operational phase

If you are planning to bring media, prior approval is required.

Northern Lights is an ISPS harbor and visitors must be prepared to provide identification during visits to the site.

In line with Northern Lights’ Code of Conduct, please be mindful that NLJV has strict limitations on accepting gifts. Thus, in general, NLJV is normally not able to accept gifts as part of an on-site visit.

Please note that we receive a lot of requests for visits. We will revert on your request in due time.

Please register your request to visit here.
